hey i’m in melb now!
idk if anyone’s waiting for me to post something on the internet about my life and experiences in a new environment - the Uni of Melb… but here it is, my first post dedicated to my moving to Melb and blahblahblah ^^
i arrived safely on the 18th of Feb with my mom and 2 of my closest college mates.
passed customs without incident. i had a CPU and a laptop, both with pirated programs installed. shh!
we moved into our new houses … stocked up on neccessities… spent many hours walking to and fro shops carrying many bags… can say that we exercised alot since coming to Melb.. it’s an Australian culture..
We attended the international student briefing on 21st Feb and orientation from 26-29 Feb… we even joined Amazing Race hosted by MUOSS (something something overseas student society?) and had a great experience racing around Melb with new found friends.
Mummy taught me to cook, clean, wash, iron, etc and went back to Malaysia on the 29th. I am so surprised at myself, for i couldn’t so much as boil an egg back home, but now i’m like, frying chicken and vegetables and whatever.
I really love it when my friends come over, cook and eat in my house. They helped me finish my old vegetables and taught me so much about cooking. It’s so fun!
I’m staying alone so it’s great to have company at times.
Blergh washing clothes tires me out. I just found out that dark-coloured jeans cause Dark Water! gosh it’s so scary! lol
ok gotta sleep now coz i have class at 9 tomorrow, it’s 2am already.
